Hand-built in Oxford England by Falcon Acoustics the MoFi Edition Monitors are a limited run of the legendary LS3/5a speaker. Manufactured under license from the British Broadcasting Corporation and built in accordance with their rigid specifications, Falcon speakers are the only LS3/5a on the market that faithfully replicates the original BBC design published in October 1976.
Available in an exclusive Black Ash cabinet and utilizing Falcon’s proprietary hand-built drivers and filter networks these speakers offer not only a stunning fit and finish but a sound that will make you swear you’re in the recording booth.

Entirely hand-built in Oxford England by Falcon Acoustics, manufactured under license from the British Broadcasting Corporation, and constructed in accordance with the BBC's rigid specifications, MoFi Edition LS3/5a monitor loudspeakers are a limited run of the legendary LS3/5a model—and the only LS3/5a on the market that faithfully replicates the original BBC design published in October 1976. Sold in matched pairs complete with an individually numbered certificate of authenticity and a five-year manufacturer warranty, MoFi Edition LS3/5a extends a decades-long tradition of a component legendary among audiophiles and music lovers around the world.
The result of nearly two years of development, the 12 x 7.5 6.5-inch (HWD) MoFi Edition LS3/5a boasts a five-inch Falcon B110 midrange and a 0.75-inch Falcon T27 tweeter. Made by hand in England and identical to the original LS3/5a units, each driver is designed by Malcolm Jones, the chief engineer responsible for the KEF B110 and KEF T27 specified in the original LS3/5a version. As a complement, matched 15-ohm BBC Specification FL6/23 filter networks arrive crafted exclusively by Falcon in the original transformer-style to BBC Specification and contain inductors assembled in Britain. To complete this thoroughly unique instrument, internally damped cabinets hand-crafted from select-grade Baltic ply with Beech fillets are also honed to BBC Specification. Tygon cloth grilles and a black ash finish complete the elegant look.
